Terms of Service

How PageOn works, what you purchase, and your responsibilities when editing and sharing HTML.

Last updated:

1. About the service

PageOn turns static HTML into editable, downloadable HTML files. These terms apply to your use of the PageOn website and its editing and export features. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement, or use the service with the authorization of a parent, guardian, or organization entitled to act for you.

2. Your files and local workspace

You keep your rights to your content. You authorize PageOn to process the HTML you submit only as needed to provide conversion and editing. You are responsible for having permission to upload, modify, and distribute that content.

Files are uploaded temporarily for conversion. Deletion is requested after your browser receives and saves the result; scheduled cleanup removes leftovers. Your workspace and editing drafts remain in the current browser. Original files, conversion results, and drafts are stored in your current browser. Tasks become eligible for cleanup seven days after creation and are removed when cleanup next runs on the website.

PageOn is not a backup service. Clearing browser data, private browsing, device changes, or storage limits can make local work unavailable. Download copies you want to keep.

3. Optional gallery sharing

If gallery submissions are enabled, you may choose to share a self-contained HTML template. This is separate from ordinary conversion and local editing. By ticking the sharing checkbox, you confirm that you have the right to share the content and authorize PageOn to store it for review, publish its safety-filtered preview after approval, and provide the original HTML free to signed-in users to download or import into PageOn for editing and use.

New submissions use the gallery-share-v1 consent version. Administrator approval immediately publishes them in the gallery. You keep ownership of your content; this permission does not transfer ownership. Earlier submissions using private-review-v1 remain private even if approved and cannot be published under that earlier consent. Do not submit confidential material, credentials, sensitive personal information, or content you are not entitled to share.

You can view status, download counts, and application counts or request permanent removal in My submissions. Administrators can unpublish an approved creation and republish it under its existing sharing consent. Unpublishing or deleting stops future public access but cannot recall files already downloaded. Safety previews disable scripts and may remove styles and resources. Review approval is not a guarantee that the original file is safe; original downloads may retain scripts and external resources.

4. Free exports and Credits

Standard exports are free and include PageOn branding. Premium exports remove the PageOn brand attribution and use one Credit per successfully generated export. Credits are deducted after file generation; canceling the download or browser download blocking does not automatically reverse that deduction.

The paid package provides 20 Credits as a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. New accounts currently receive 5 promotional Credits. New sharing submissions created after approval rewards are enabled earn 5 Credits on their first approval. Repeated approval attempts and republishing the same submission do not earn another reward. Earlier submissions, including those still awaiting review, do not receive rewards retroactively. Credits are service usage units, not money, and cannot be withdrawn or traded. The seven-day workspace retention period does not apply to your account Credit balance.

Review your file with the free editing and export features before purchasing. The final price, currency, and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.

5. Payments and refunds

Purchases are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout, currently Paddle or Dodo Payments. The selected provider acts as Merchant of Record and its buyer terms apply to the purchase and payment relationship. Our Refund Policy explains how to request help with a payment, an undelivered purchase, or an export problem.

Keep access to the account used for your purchase. Credits are linked to that account; local HTML files do not automatically transfer between devices or accounts.

6. Acceptable use and compatibility

Do not use PageOn to infringe others’ rights, distribute malicious content, attack the service, interfere with other users, or bypass access restrictions. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.

Preview mode isolates scripts, but exported HTML retains the original file’s scripts and interactions. Only open and share content you trust. Script-generated content, external assets, fonts, embedded frames, and Canvas may not behave or render the same way in the editor or offline.

7. Availability and your rights

We aim to provide a useful service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every HTML file. Check exported files before relying on or distributing them. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Changes to these terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes to paid features will be communicated through the service where practicable; changes do not remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
