Edit HTML Generated with Codex

A visual content pass for the HTML your coding workflow produced.

Edit anywhere. Keep the page going.

01

Code is ready, but the copy needs review

A coding workflow can produce a useful HTML prototype or report while the wording still needs a stakeholder review. Small copy changes are easier to discuss on the rendered page than by locating strings in source code.

02

Use a file-based handoff for visual revisions

Open a standalone HTML file produced with Codex in PageOn. Revise the page text and download the result. Keep your original source separately and review the downloaded changes before bringing them back into your project; PageOn does not automatically synchronize a repository.

From first draft to your next version

  1. 1

Prepare a standalone, browser-ready HTML file in your Codex workflow.

  2. 2

Keep the original source in your project and upload a copy to PageOn.

  3. 3

Review and revise the text in the visual editor.

  4. 4

Download the result and review it before integrating it into your project.

Questions before you start

Can I upload an entire Next.js or React repository?

The editor accepts HTML files, not application repositories. Prepare a suitable HTML document first. Application logic and build dependencies remain part of your development workflow.

Does this page connect to Codex or update my repository?

No. The current workflow is upload, edit and download. It does not require a Codex plugin or provide automatic repository writeback.

Where are my files stored?

Files are uploaded temporarily for conversion. Deletion is requested after your browser receives and saves the result; scheduled cleanup removes leftovers. Your workspace and editing drafts remain in the current browser. Tasks and drafts are stored in the current browser and are eligible for cleanup after seven days. Download copies you want to keep.

Will every HTML page render exactly as before?

Pages that rely on unavailable assets, external services or a build step may need preparation. Preview the document and review the exported file before using it. Standard export with text notes, PNG images and PDF exports are free and use no Credits. Character notes require premium export at 1 Credit per HTML file.
